The Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church was founded in 1766, ten years before the Declaration of Independence was signed! The original log cabin church, located in what is now the cemetery, was replaced in 1816 with a stone church. In 1856 that building was replaced with what is now our brick sanctuary. We are blessed with eight beautiful memorial stained glass windows that surround us as we worship. An extensive Christian education wing was built and dedicated in 1958. The church has always had a strong commitment to the truth of Scripture, to living as Jesus taught us to live, and to giving ourselves away in mission. One of the ways we raise money for missions is our annual Turkey Supper & Bazaar served on the Saturday just prior to Thanksgiving each year. Over 800 people come from miles around to enjoy a great meal of roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and our famous homemade noodles & baked apples. We've been holding this supper for as long as anyone can remember. No one goes home hungry!
